Tim’s announcing career kicked into high gear in October 2004 when he joined the Sim Racing Network. Tim and the crew at SRN covered the biggest sim racing events and top leagues on the NASCAR Racing 2003 Season title, including the Online 500, FLM 400 and the DMP Racing League. Among the high profile drivers who ran laps on SRN included Martin Truex Jr, Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Tim became the lead announcer at SRN in mid-2005 and held the post until the web service made its last laps on June 30th, 2007.

When one door closes, another opens. In May 2007, Tim was added to the announcing staff at Scotia Speedworld, the 3/10-mile stock car oval located south of Enfield, Nova Scotia. He worked under the tutelage of long-time Speedworld voice Mike Kaplan and when Kaplan retired following the 2008 season, Tim took the reins at the track as the “Voice of the Speedworld,” a position in which he holds to this day.

One month after graduating from South Colchester Academy on July 26th, 2008, Tim announced at his first ever Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour event, covering qualifying at Speedway 660 in Geary, New Brunswick, for series announcer Andy Campbell. He covered his first ever full Tour event at Riverside International Speedway the next month during the Scott Kelly Memorial 100 and would also announce the Lucas Oil 150 (Centre for Speed) and the Parts for Trucks 200 (Scotia Speedworld) before wrapping up the 2008 season when Campbell could not be behind the mic. Tim filled the role permanently in 2009 – a role he has held for three complete seasons now.

Tim has called many memorable races in his short track career, including three IWK 250’s at Riverside. The 2011 edition made Canadian motorsports history as Race Time Radio (www.racetimeradio.com) covered the race LIVE, flag-to-flag on Sirius Satellite Radio – The Score. He has also called three editions of the Scotia Speedworld staple events, the Atlantic CAT 250 and the Shriner’s Classic for Sportsman. His resume also includes events for the Pro All Stars Series, the NAPA Sportsman Tour and the Atlantic Open Wheel Tour.
Keeping with his roots, Tim still announces online sim races. He is the voice of the NASCAR iRacing.com Series World Championship and has called many prominent events on the service including the World Cup of iRacing, the iRacing Indianapolis 500 and the iRacing Daytona 500. He also calls races for the Web Racing Network (www.webracingnetwork.com), Online Racin’ TV (www.olrtv.com) and RaceLM TV (www.rlmtv.com).

ABOUT TIM'S CORNER
Tim’s Corner began as a weekly column on ScotiaSpeedworld.ca and MaritimeProStockTour.com penned by announcer Tim Terry in 2009. Since its inception, Terry has written hundreds of articles between the two websites and has since branched out to help with track and series press releases and social media.

His knowledge and wit extends farther than the track on race day though as he has created and maintained websites for teams throughout the region. Included in those includes doing media releases and websites for MacLean Motorsports and 2010 Capital City Speedway (ON) Legend Car Champion Chad Windsor. Terry also writes for the regional magazine publication “Auto and Trucking Atlantic” and his work has appeared in “Inside Track Motorsport News”, the official publication of Canadian Motorsport.

He has also been commissioned to do press for popular sim racing sanctioning bodies, such as the GSRacing.net Truck Series and the Late Model Championships. His work is also showcased on inRacingNews.com, the official news website of iRacing.com. in September 2011, his recap of the NASCAR iRacing.com Series World Championship race from Atlanta was featured on NASCAR.com.

Out of everything above, combined with the love for the sport of auto racing came TimsCorner.ca. TimsCorner.ca was launched on October 27th, 2011 to showcase the work of Tim Terry and for those racers who need media services a one stop shop to meet their needs for a low cost. Whether it be a basic sponsorship proposal to a press release to announce a sponsor or race results to a full blown website, Tim’s goal is to offer those services at a cost to race teams that will not break the bank.

With the launch of the website came Tim’s Corner Unplugged. Tim’s Corner Unplugged began as a 20-30 minute weekly audio podcast which brings news and interviews from the real and virtual auto racing worlds. With the well respected Tim Terry as the host, the show is expected to grow along with the website in 2012.
